You’ll learn that nouns sometimes change form depending on the words around them.
In Icelandic, nouns can change form.
Look at these examples:
The word hestur (horse) changes depending on the sentence.
These different forms are called cases (föll).
Don’t worry about memorizing all the forms yet. For now, simply notice that nouns can change.
We use this pattern when introducing or identifying something.

💡 Notice how some words change and some stay the same.

The preposition frá (“from”) is followed by the dative case.
